Monday 5/13/2013And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:19, NLT | View in context | Share on: Facebook Twitter It's funny how often we take a verse out of context and stand on it our whole lives without remembering the original intent. So as you may be able to see, I clicked on "View in context." Not only do we get the context of Paul thanking the Philippians for their gift of support during his ministry travels but we get the ever popular "I can do all things (or everything) through Christ (or the one) who gives me strength." I'm not saying that this won't continue to be one of my favorite reminders from one of Jesus' faithful followers but I just felt compelled to share so that we all remember to take things in context sometimes. I invite you to read Philippians 4:10-20 and think about it. That's all. |
